Obituary of Arthur Lee Swain

COLUMBIA – A service to celebrate the life of Arthur Lee Swain, 62, will be held at 11am on Friday, June 7, 2024 in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.

Mr. Swain passed at home on April 12, 2024.  Born in Quantico, Va., he was the son of the late Fred Lee Swain and Lucy Joy Swain.  He was formerly employed with Miller Lumber Company.  He was an artist and enjoyed reading novels and comic books.

Surviving are his sisters, Rosa Lee Swain, Linda Pianka, Virginia Winfrey, Eunice Stukes, Lillie Swain Blake; special-niece, Brandi Workman; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Barbara Swain Thomas; and brothers, William Bill Swain and Raymond Michael Swain.
