Delores A. Melton

LUGOFF – Delores A. Stallings Melton, 75, passed away at home on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  Born in Fort Jackson, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Martin L. Stallings and Jackie Frye Stallings and the wife of the late Larry Richard Melton.  

Mrs. Melton was a 1966 graduate of Columbia High School and retired from Prisma Health where she was a receptionist.  She was active with the VFW and American Legion and was the event coordinator for the American Legion.  She enjoyed watching T.V. and cross stitching.

Surviving are her sister, Brenda S. Cook of Lugoff; step-daughter, Julie Mason; grandchildren, Kristie Burton (Garrett), Lynsey Mason, and David Mason; 6 great-grandchildren; and her fur-baby, Maxi. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Thomas D. Clark.

Services will be private. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Neil Meyer Pet Adoption Center in Camden, SC.
