Obituary of Mary Lynch

CAMDEN – Funeral service for Mary Lila Hutchinson Lynch, 100, will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Cassatt Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Bruce Marthers will officiate.  The family will receive friends Thursday 7-9 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  Memorial may be made to MUSC Kershaw Health Hospice.

Mrs. Lynch, wife of the late Thornwell Lynch, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024.  Born in Darlington, she was the daughter of the late William “Bill” and Retha Powers Hutchinson. She enjoyed music, dancing and cooking.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Samuel Mitchell Lynch, Annette Robinson, Ida Mae Williams and Martha Elizabeth Arledge; 26 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her sons, Lavern N. Lynch and Richard Lynch; daughter, Retha Geraldine Burnham; brothers, Sonny Boy Hutchinson, Leslie Hutchinson and Louie Hutchinson; and sister, Inez Rhode.
