ELGIN – Nicholas Nathaniel “Nick” Baker, 41, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2024.  Born in Wiesbaden, Germany, he was the son of W. Richard Baker and Cynthia Kathryn Somerville Baker.  He was employed with Shakespeare Company in Columbia where he was an Electrician.  He enjoyed playing his Play Station, traveling, being outdoors, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 10 years, Brittany Mack Baker; children, Julia Baker of Camden, Layla Baker of Camden, Nicholas Baker Jr of Camden, and Liam Baker of Elgin; step-son, Cohen Davis of Elgin; sister, Kim Wood (Robbie) of Columbia; brothers, Ben Baker (Jessica) of Elgin and Richard Baker of Columbia; paternal grandfather, Chad W. Somerville of Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces and nephews.
