Obituary of Doris Hatfield Bowen

CAMDEN – A service for Doris Hatfield Bowen, 89, will be held Monday, June 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church with burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Karesh at Beechwood.

Mrs. Bowen, wife of the late Odell Bowen, passed away Monday, June 10, 2024. Born on August 6, 1934, in Kershaw County, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Thomas Eason Hatfield and Mamie McKenzie Hatfield.

Surviving are her children, Teresa Baker (Larry) of Cassatt, Rhonda Neal (Andy) of Kershaw; daughter-in-law, Linda Bowen; brother, Floyd Hatfield of Camden; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Michael Odell Bowen; brother, James Raymond Outlaw; and sisters, Thelma Outlaw Wilson, Helen West, and Lorene Perrine.  

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Karesh at Beechwood for their love and care.
