Clara T. Vincent
Clara Threatt Vincent, age 94 of Camden, S.C. and formerly of Kershaw, S.C. passed away, Saturday evening, June 22, 2024, at Karesh at Beechwood, Camden, S.C. Born in Kershaw, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Lee Clarence Threatt and Eva Elizabeth Gardner Threatt. She retired from Springs Industries as a supervisor. Mrs. Vincent was a faithful member of Buffalo Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 40 years and served her church in various capacities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Jeff “Bill” Vincent, who predeceased her on December 22, 2003, 2 sisters, Naomi Vincent and Edith Vincent and a twin brother and twin sister. She was also predeceased by her brother-in-law, Gene Edwards.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy V. West and her husband, Jesse of Lugoff, S.C.; her son, Joey Alan Vincent and his wife, Tammy of Kershaw, S.C.; 4 grandchildren, Jason West and his wife, Angie of Dacula, GA, Adam West and his wife, Hollie of Camden, S.C., Shannon Wessinger and her husband, Eric of Lexington, S.C. and Christopher Vincent and his wife, Eva of Camp Lejeune, N.C.; 9 great grandchildren, Anna Claire, Walker, Lillian, Jaime, Shaun, Joella, Jameson, Clara and Harmony; and 3 sisters, Reba Edwards of Heath Springs, S.C., Judy Coates and her husband, Graham of Kershaw, S.C. and Patsy Stephens and her husband, Charlie of Bethune, S.C.
The family will receive friends, Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the home of her son, 1248 Neds Creek Road, Kershaw, S.C. and following the burial in the Buffalo Baptist Church Family Life Center.
A service to remember and celebrate her life will be held on her 95th birthday, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. in the Buffalo Baptist Church. Jason West and Adam West will officiate. Burial will follow in the Buffalo Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Paul Stephens will render committal rites at the graveside.
