It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the passing of Elder Randy W. Flowers who entered into rest June 23, 2024.
Elder Randy Wheeler Flowers was born March 9, 1949, to the late Emmett Flowers and Katie Whaley. Elder Flowers graduated from Jackson High in 1968. Elder Flowers was a part of the original congregation of Camden, Household of Faith Church. He first began his journey in the ministry when he was appointed Sabbath schoolteacher at age 17. He was subsequently ordained as a Deacon under the leadership of Bishop E. D. Sanders, Founder of the organization. He was appointed National Secretary under the leadership of the late Bishop R. O. Johnson and ordained a Minister under the late Bishop G. W. Chambers. His tenure in the church would culminate in his appointment as Assistant Pastor to the residing Elder David Williams and his ordination as an Elder under the current leadership of Overseer Bishop Blake Halley.
Elder Flowers was married to his devoted wife for 53 years and leaves three beautiful children to cherish his memory. The three loving children, Maria (Brian) Johnson, Randy (Pamela) Flowers, and Warren (Candice) Flowers; seven grandchildren; Larry, Tyler, Daniella, Christian, Miracle, Carter, and Callie; two sisters, Isabelle DuBose and Mary (John) Wright; two brothers, Thomas (Geneva) Flowers and Donald Flowers; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his three brothers: Richard, Robert, and Reuben; and two sisters: Lucy and Lucinda.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Sunday, June 30, 2024 at Household of Faith Convention Center. Viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
