CAMDEN – Funeral service for Omide Jamar Ellison, 52, will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in St. Matthews United Methodist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. David Stratford will officiate.

Mr. Ellison passed away at home on Friday, June 28, 2024.  Born in New York City, he was the son of Samuel Ellison Jr. and the late Delores Cynthia Nickens.  He was employed with the BUDD Group and enjoyed watching sports.

Surviving are his father, Samuel Ellison Jr. of New York, N.Y.; sister, Ashtina Ellison; brother, Darryl Wright; and aunts and uncles, Joann Ellison, David Ellison (Debra), Elaine Pollard, Rebecca Nickens, Doris Nickens, Priscilla Nickens, Ida Lee Nickens, Louise Blanco, Lee Nickens Jr. (Janice) and Deborah Nickens.
