Elgin – Robert Andel Gable, 66, passed away at his home on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was the son of the late Robert E. Gable and Mildred Corbin Gable.

He was a Star Trek fan and considered himself a true “Trekkie”. He enjoyed furniture restoration, and metal detecting. He had a great since of humor and was a jokester.

Surviving are his children; Lori Ann Stire, Joe Gable, and Cieann Dowdy; His Sisters, Dianna Stevens, and Alice Bigler; brothers, Curtis Gable, and Philip Gable; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; and his girlfriend Maryann Gainey.

A Memorial Service for Mr. Gable will be held at a later date.
