Obituary of Donna M. Hunter

Donna Jeanne Mansell Hunter, of Columbia, S.C. went to be with Jesus on July 20, 2024.  Donna was born in Florence, Alabama on September 10, 1952 the first of four daughters of Thomas Nix Mansell and Mary Ethel Johnson Mansell.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, David Allen Hunter of Camden, S.C.  She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Hice (David); step-children, Charlene Hunter and Duane Hunter; three grandchildren, Amber Price (Eric), Dillon Hice and Chase Hunter; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Pamela Warnock (Buck) and Debra Eck (Jerry); nieces and nephews. 

Donna was a well-respected legal secretary for 50 years, retiring from Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd P.A. in 1999 after 25 years.  She loved living on Lake Wateree and was a member of Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church, 18 Meeting Lane, Liberty Hill, S.C.  29074.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Liberty Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
