Elgin – Graveside service for Mary Cagle Kennedy, 82, formerly of Robbins, N.C., will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Providence Chapel Church Cemetery in Robbins, N.C. The Rev. Tom Powers will officiate.
Mrs. Kennedy, wife of the late Leon Douglas Kennedy, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Born in Troy, N.C., she was the daughter of the late William Edgar and Nerva Beane Cagle. She retired as a seamstress from Pines Hosiery in Ether, N.C. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Mrs. Kennedy was a member of Providence Chapel Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher.
Surviving is her son, James Kennedy (Lisa) of Highfalls, N.C.; daughter, Mary K. Beasley (Terry) of Elgin; brother, William Edgar Cagle Jr. (Rachael); grandchildren, Melissa Adams, Stacie Garner, Heath Williams, Michael Beasley, Mandy Beasley, Colton Beasley, Christian Beasley, Amelia Beasley, Jackie Kennedy, Tara Kennedy, and Katie Kennedy; and a host of great-grandchildren.
