Dennis Wade Ivey, Sr., age 60, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Thursday morning, August 1, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home. Born in Lancaster, S.C., he was a son of the late Wade F. Ivey and Ruth Catherine Ellis Ivey. Mr. Ivey was a faithful employee of Prestage Farms. He enjoyed watching racing and football. He never turned down an opportunity to also watch a good Western movie. He loved his dog, Patches.

Mr. Ivey is survived by his children, Billy Knight, Julie (Dale) Knight, Eula Mae (Johnny) Cauthen, Crystal (Jenelle) Pennington and Dennis (Doris), Ivey, Jr, 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his sister, Cathy (Billy) Todd; his brother, Clyde (Phyllis) Ivey and his companion, Tina Starnes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Bernice Mosley Ivey and his siblings, Ricky Ivey, James Ivey, Diane Williams, Susie Plyler and Trudy Hilliard.

The family will greet friends on Sunday evening, August 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C.

A funeral service for Mr. Ivey will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 5, 2024, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, Rev. Donnie Barrett will officiate. The Burial will follow in the Boonetown Cemetery, Kershaw, S.C.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
