Obituary of Gene W. Branham
Lugoff – Funeral service for Gene Willard Branham, 86, will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Crossway Church with burial to follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Camden. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 18, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossway Church, 1332 Elk Lodge Court, Lugoff, S.C. 29078.
Mr. Branham passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Born in Camden, he was the son of the late Grover Stuckey Branham and Veda Bowen Branham. He served in the United States Army and retired from the United States Postal Service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and woodworking. One of Mr. Branham’s passions was singing and playing the guitar but his great joy was his family, especially his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Bryan Branham (Tereza) of Pageville, Ohio; daughter, Katrina Branham of Lugoff; grandchildren, Bryana Reily (Brandon), Bryan Branham II (Camelia) and Caleb Branham; and great-grandchildren, Brinley Reily, Addison Branham, Marleigh Branham and Maverick Branham. He also leaves behind his dearest and closest friend, Jeanette McDonald.
He was predeceased by his wife, Marie Boykin Branham; daughter, Alecia Branham; son, Kevin Branham; and brothers, Oscar Branham and Odell Bowen.
