Obituary of Simon Alexander

Simon Alexander, 65, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. Born in Kershaw County, SC on May 16, 1959, he was the son of the late David Charles and Bertha Lee Robinson Alexander. Mr. Alexander enjoyed watching TV and working with the Kershaw County Department of Disabilities. He received many awards during his time competing in the Special Olympics.

Left to cherish his memories is his brothers, Willie C. Alexander, Sr. (Sharon) of Camden, SC and George Clyburn Washington of Camden, SC; sister, Janie Lou Wilson of Camden, SC; special friend, Rose Robinson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Alexander was predeceased by his brother, Leroy Washington (Thelma); brother-in-law, Floyd Bracey; sister-in-law, Rose Annie Washington.

A funeral service for Mr. Alexander will take place Wednesday, September 04, 2024 at 2:00 pm at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Camden, SC. With burial to follow in St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
