Jackie Wayne Vincent Obituary

Jackie Wayne Vincent, age 76, of Kershaw, S.C., passed away, Saturday morning, January 18, 2025, at his home. Born in Kershaw County, S.C., he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Vincent and Corrie Williams Vincent. Mr. Vincent retired from DuPont Company after 33 years of service and later from Prestage Farms after 10 years of service. He loved to farm and plant the land and watch things grow. He also loved tending livestock and his cows. Mr. Vincent was a United States Air Force veteran and had recently become an avid bird watcher.

He cherished his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Margie Kay Hinson Vincent; 2 sons, Daniel W. Vincent and his wife, Kendra of Westminster, S.C. and Patrick M. Vincent and his wife, Jana of Kershaw, S.C.; 7 grandchildren, Kennedy Ables and her husband, C.J., Emma Grace Vincent, Meredith C. Vincent, Anna Rose Vincent, Kolbie Doster and her husband, Daniel, Ethan Cole Vincent and Gavin Crawford Vincent; 3 great grandchildren, Annabelle Ables, Gatlin Ables and Gunner Ables; 2 sisters, Debra Dixon of Kershaw, S.C. and Ann Hinson of Kershaw, S.C. and 2 brothers, Don Vincent and his wife, Sue of Kershaw, S.C. and Dale Vincent and his wife, Fran of Heath Springs, S.C. and his sister-in-law, Diane M. Vincent of Lancaster, S.C. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Rodney Vincent; his brother, Roger Vincent; his father and mother-in-law, Guy and Mary Robinson Hinson and 2 brothers in-law, Roger Dixon and Mike Hinson.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, January 22, 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Baker Funeral Home, 210 E. Hilton Street, Kershaw, S.C.

A funeral service to celebrate his life will be held, Thursday afternoon, January 23, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the sanctuary of Buffalo Baptist Church, 6390 Lockhart Road, Kershaw, S.C. The burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors by Shaw Air Force Base Honor Guard.
