Obituary of Linda Jean Jones

Elgin – Linda Jean Jones, 63, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025.  Born in Greenville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Earl Edgar and Virginia Lee Letonek Irvine.  She received her bachelor’s degrees from Allegheny Wesleyan College and Indiana Wesleyan University.  She was an educator who loved working with children and senior citizens.  She enjoyed crafts and operating her Ebay business. Her children and grandchildren brought her great joy.

Left to honor her memory are her husband of 41 years, Kevin Mark Jones; children, Sara Barr (Mike) of Elgin, Tim Jones (Kara) of Summerville, Kristi Cabrera (Rico) of Simpsonville, and Steven Jones (Chelsea) of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Daniel Irvine (Joy) and Bryan Irvine (Debbie); sisters, Mary Deal (Scott) and Debbie Smith (Mark); sister-in-law, Kathy Sauer; and grandchildren, Zashawn Barr, Teyten Barr, Kamryn Barr, Ariella Jones, Levi Jones, Luca Jones, Annalise Jones, Mya Cabrera, Jade Jones and Hazel Jones.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Comorato; and brother, Donald Irvine.
