Obituary of Earnie A. Hinson

CAMDEN- A funeral service for Earnie Albert Hinson, 75, will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at Antioch Baptist Church with burial to follow in Deliverance Tabernacle Cemetery. The Rev. Danny Hedgepath and Rev. Deryk Morgan will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4-6 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunshine Basket Ministry at Antioch Baptist Church.

    Mr. Hinson, husband of the late Carolyn Brazell Hinson, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. Born in Camden, he was a son of the late Earnie “Buddie” and Selma Ann Hinson. Earnie and his late wife Carolyn established Hinson Electric in 1972 and served the Camden area for over 50 years. They attended many car shows over the years since the 1980’s showing their 1958 Chevrolet Impala Hardtop 2 Door.

    Surviving are his sons, Earnie Hinson III (Patricia), Eric Hinson (Chrystal); grandchildren, Earnie “Buddy” Hinson IV (Allison), Kinlyn Hinson, Kearson Hinson; great-grandchildren, Ella and Abigail; sisters, Marilyn Beard (Jimmy), and Jacquelin Riley; and special friend, Shirley Price. He was predeceased by sisters, Betty Farmer, Loma Hall; and brothers, Shirley Hinson, Delbert Hinson, Henry Hinson and TW Hinson.
