Obituary of Vera Lee Bennett

LUGOFF- A funeral service For Vera Lee Bennett, 64, will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at High Hill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Powers Funeral Home.

Vera Bennett, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 3, 2025. Born in Camden, SC, on March 31, 1960, to the late Benjamin R.B. and Mariah Jefferson Bennett. She was a member of High Hill Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC. Ms. Bennett enjoyed BINGO, talking on the phone, and music. But above all else she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandbabies.

Left to cherish her memories is her children, Ronnie Bo Shawn Bennett of Lugoff, SC, Kendra Murphy of Lugoff, SC and Shamico Murphy of Lugoff, SC; siblings, Benjamin “Reggie” Thompson of Blythewood, SC, Benny Bennett of Lugoff, SC, Jacquelyn Bennett of Lugoff, SC, and Kimberly Bennett Qualls of Lugoff, SC; and 6 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Sheryl Ann Bennett and a grandson, Kendrick Jones.
