A graveside service for Jo Ann Gainey, of Bethune, S.C. will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in Timrod Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs. Jeremy Ussery and Jackie Knight will officiate. The burial will follow in the cemetery. Ms. Gainey died, Thursday, February 6, 2025, at her home. Born in Kershaw County, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the late George and Josephine Horton Gainey. Jo Ann loved to shop, cook and do outdoor activities.
She is survived by her sisters, Gwen Gainey of Bethune, S.C., Gayle Kiser of Matthews, N.C. and her sister-in-law, Mary Gainey of Bethune, S.C.
Jo Ann retired from the Kendall Co. after 35 years of service. She also has several nieces and nephews and loved all of them
She was preceded in death in addition to her parents by her brother, Gary Gainey and 2 sisters, Patsy Gainey and Peggy McNeil.
