The 17th Annual Charity Golf Tournament sponsored by the Midlands Baptist Association (MBA) will be held on Monday, March 10, 2025 at the Oak Hills Golf Country Club. The proceeds benefit hunger and homelessness in the Midlands. Last year’s contributions helped to relieve challenges faced by individuals and families experiencing hardships often caused by poverty and situations beyond their control.
The Captain’s Choice tournament will tee off at 9 am and conclude with an Awards Luncheon to recognize winners and event sponsors. Golfers have a chance to win a Jim Hudson truck or $10,000 Hole-In-One cash prize; receive a host of goodies; enjoy continental breakfast, a delicious hot lunch, door prizes and team photo while supporting a great cause. Rev. Dr. B. N. Scott of First Nazareth Baptist Church (Columbia) is Moderator of the 16-member church association that represents close to 20,000+ members throughout the Greater Columbia Area including Friendship Baptist, New Ebenezer Baptist Church, New Dimensions, First Nazareth Baptist, Oak Grove Baptist Church, etc. The Hunger and Homelessness Project is one of the community outreach initiatives of the MBA that supports food pantries, local shelters and employment assistance.
