Obituary of Burl “Ron” Brinnon

LUGOFF- A celebration of life service for Burl Ronald “Ron” Brinnon, 85, will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Worship Center. Pastor Raymond Sellers will officiate. A green burial will take place prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. in Greenhaven Preserve, Eastover. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The ALS Association or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Mr. Brinnon, husband of the late Anna Louise Brinnon, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025. Born in Sandusky, OH he was the son of the late Burl B. and Marian Nesselhauf Brinnon. Mr. Brinnon was a member of Bethel Worship Center where he played saxophone with the worship team. He also played with the Carl Payne Big Band.  He praised God daily for his family and friends and prayed for them also. He enjoyed spending time with family, playing board games and going on outings. Ron shared his passion of music by playing and leaving a legacy as a writer in “You Did What?”, his autobiography which he enjoyed writing and publishing with his editor, Angela. 

Surviving are his daughters, Sheryl Loyd (Joseph), Janet Kinghorn (Mark), Karen Miller (Bob), Deborah Caraballo (Bud), Christina Lawrence (Virgil); grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, Justin, Mason, Megan, Patrick, Sarah, Traylor, Charlotte, Leah; a great-granddaughter, Layla; and sisters-in-law, Loraine Melero (Tony) and Judy Trotta (Robert Stone). In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a sister Annie Conti.

The family extends a special thank you to Melissa and Roland for their care, love, and dedication to Ron.
