Cohen Brinkley

, Clover boys’ soccer: The Blue Eagles’ junior goalkeeper earned a shutout March 11 in a 3-0 win over Rock Hill . Brinkley also helped Clover to a victory Friday over Fort Mill , saving two penalty kicks (after a 1-1 tie in regulation) to earn the win.

Clover is 6-2 overall this season.

Emme Herring

, Riverwalk Academy girls’ track: Herring, a freshman distance specialist for the Lions, ran a personal-best 2:44.14 to win the 800-meter run Thursday at York High .

Herring also ran a 6:02.21 to finish eighth in the 1600-meter run at Saturday’s Trojan Relays at Northwestern High .

Herring owns school records in both the 800-meter run (2:44.14) and 1600-meter run (5:58.08).

Annsley Howle

, South Pointe girls’ soccer: Howie scored two goals and had one assist in a 7-0 victory Friday over York. Howle has three goals and one assist for South Pointe (3-0) this season.

Kaylynn Miller

, Lancaster softball: The Bruins’ pitcher tossed a complete-game shutout, striking out eight and allowing just two hits, in a 10-0 win over Dreher on March 11 . Miller also went 2-for-3 at the plate in the game, with a double, a home run and three RBI.

Then Miller tossed a complete game with eight strikeouts, allowing only one earned run, in an 8-1 victory Thursday at Dreher.

Miller took the loss, going just four innings with two strikeouts, as the Bruins fell 8-2 at Legion Collegiate on March 12 .

Lancaster is 2-1 overall this season.

Colt Mohler

, Nation Ford boys’ tennis: Mohler won his No. 1 singles’ match 6-2, 6-3 and led Nation Ford to 6-0, season-opening win Thursday over Indian Land.

Mohler earned the No. 1 spot in the Nation Ford lineup in final challenge match with a 6-3, 3-6 (11-9) win despite playing with painful blisters on his feet, March 11 , according to Nation Ford tennis coach, Claudia Vizzini

Keira O’Brien, Catawba Ridge softball: The Copperheads’ pitcher went 7-0 on the mound last week, helping Catawba Ridge win all seven games in the Byrnes Invitational, played March 12-15 . O’Brien earned co-most valuable player (MVP) honors in the tournament.

Catawba Ridge beat Lexington 7-6 (in nine innings) on March 12 , defeated Northwestern 16-0 on Thursday and knocked off both Lugoff – Elgin (18-0) and Legion Collegiate (10-1) on Friday.

The Copperheads (11-0) finished the tournament Saturday with three victories on one day, beating Nation Ford (12-0), Byrnes (1-0) and Aynor (3-1).

Grace Peterson

, Catawba Ridge girls’ lacrosse: The Copperheads’ goalkeeper had 10 saves in a 15-5 victory at Eastside on March 11 . Peterson followed that Thursday with 15 saves, including six in the first quarter, in a 14-5 win over River Bluff .

Peterson has 51 saves for Catawba Ridge (6-0) this season.

Alyssa Robinson

, Westminster Catawba girls’ soccer: Robinson, a forward, scored three goals in a 4-1 a March 11 victory over University Christian. It was her second hat trick in as many games.

Robinson has six goals for Westminster Catawba (2-0) this season.

Colin Rushlow

, Legion Collegiate boys’ golf: Rushlow shot a two-over par, 38, to earn medalist honors on the front nine at Waterford Golf Club , March 13 .

Rushlow’s play also helped the Legion Collegiate boys’ golf team to victory over Riverwalk Academy in the same match.

Jackson Sellers

, Buford baseball: The Yellow Jackets’ pitcher struck out 12 and allowed just one hit in six innings of work, earning the victory, in a 9-0 win March 12 over York Prep .

At the plate, Sellers hit .538 in three Buford victories last week. He had seven hits, including two doubles, in Yellow Jacket victories March 12 over York Prep (9-0), Thursday at Piedmont (8-2) and Friday, at York Prep (13-7).

Buford is 5-1 overall this season.
