Obituary of Faye Counts Strange

Elgin – A memorial service for Faye Counts Strange, 81, will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Strange passed away at home on Sunday, May 4, 2025.  Born in Chapin, she was the daughter of the late William Jennings and Thelma Wessinger Counts.   She enjoyed sewing and made her children’s clothes.  She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Surviving are her children, Anthony “Tony” Strange (Sara) of Savannah, Ga., Tina Blevins (Marvin) of Elgin, Jonnie Kuykendall (Charles) of Elgin, and Tammi Strange of Elgin; sister, Janice Ellisor of Ballentine; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by brother, David Counts; and sister, Frances Boland.
