A South Carolina teenager was killed Thursday when the vehicle he was driving crashed, according to the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office.

Singletary was driving a 2020 Polaris side-by-side vehicle east on Primrose Lane, according to Bennett. Near the intersection with Blaney Road the side-by-side ran off the right side of Primrose Lane , Bennett said.

Singletary, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the side-by-side as it rolled over and he died at the scene, according to West.

Bennett said that Singletary was the only person on the side-by-side, and no other injuries were reported.

Information about what caused the side-by-side to veer off the road was not available. Neither Bennett nor the coroner’s office said if the crash is under investigation.
