Richard Darrell Young Obituary

Memorial services for Richard Darrell Young, 57, will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, December 19, 2025, at Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, 1112 Fair Street, Camden, SC 29020.  Reverend Jimmy Holley and Chris Roberts will officiate.  Memorials may be made to DeKalb Baptist Church, 2034 DeKalb School Road, Camden, SC 29020.  

Richard died on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  He was born in Camden, SC, a son of the late John Richard Young and the late Annie Ruth Branham Young.   He was employed by DuPont and Invista as a technician.  Ricky had a strong interest in trains, especially steam locomotives.

Ricky is survived by his son, Ryan Young; brother, Douglas Young; sister, Crystal Copley (Chris); special aunt Earlene Jones, aunt Margie Branham, and uncle Furman Young, Jr. (Joan).

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
