Samuel Rowell Obituary

Samuel Rowell, born on September 8, 1947, in Marion, South Carolina, was a humble, quiet, and friendly man with a heart for giving. His warm personality left a lasting impact on the people he encountered, making him a beloved figure in the community. 

Samuel spent his professional life dedicated to the Textile Mill industry, where he worked for over 20 years at DeRoyal before his well-deserved retirement. Outside of work, Samuel found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed fishing, playing spades, and solitary, hobbies that reflected his humble and quiet nature. Samuel also attended Christian Fellowship Tabernacle in Camden, S.C.

Samuel’s spirit of giving and humility will continue to live in the hearts of those he left behind. 

 A funeral service to celebrate Samuel’s life will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, with burial to follow in Christian Fellowship Tabernacle Cemetery in Camden, S.C.  Viewing will be held Friday, December 19, 2025 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home
