Sandi Leanne Brassell Obituary

We announce with deeply felt sorrow the passing of Sandi Brassell on December 15, 2025. Sandi was born on August 22, 1974 in Kane, PA, was a beacon of light in our lives, embodying the spirit of unconditional love and selflessness. A resident of Elgin, South Carolina, she lived a life filled with joy, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to her loved ones and community. 

Sandi was a talented Medical Coder and was a part of the Physicians Services of SC family. She was among the first group hired and remained with them for an impressive 23 years, a testament to her dedication and expertise. But her work was just one of the many facets of her vibrant life. She was passionate about crocheting, cooking, and had an evident love for butterflies and the color purple. She cherished watching her sons play sports, particularly baseball. If Sandi could drive to a place, she would go, and this adventurous spirit led her to explore many beautiful places. Her heart belonged to her family and church, where she spent countless hours nurturing relationships and spreading joy. Every Christmas Sandi took particular joy in participating in the Adopt A Family Program. Sandi was a remarkable woman, always thinking of others before herself. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she treated everyone as if they were her own child. Even in her final moments, she continued to give, donating her organs to someone she had never even met. 

She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Marty Leroy Brassell; sons, Austin Lee Brassell (Emilee), Brandon Paul Brassell and Justin Allen Brassell; father, Daniel Reigel Sr.; siblings, Daniel Reigel, Jr. (Sally), Sherry Branham, David Reigel (Iva), Susan Sims (Vince), Shelly Strickland, Sunny Boucher (John) and Donald Reigel (Melissa); granddaughter, Olivia Brassell; furbaby, Beanie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Mae Reigel. 

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Ministries in Elgin, SC. With burial to follow the service at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Elgin, SC. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
