Obituary of Novice Stockman Boulware
Novice Stockman Boulware, 93, entered her heavenly home March 6, 2024. Her faith is at last sight. She is at home with the Lord, whole, and happy forever.
She is survived by her two daughters, Glenda (Haskell) Marsh of Elgin, and Tammy (Eddie) Adams of Lexington, her two grandsons, Grant Adams of Columbia and Ethan (Keri) Adams of Swansea, her siblings, Shirley Miles and Bobby Stockman, both of Elgin.
She is predeceased by her husband, Ross Boulware, her infant daughter, her granddaughter, Wendy Marsh, her parents, Earl and Mary Stockman, and her siblings, Leon Stockman, Jean Miles and Beatrice Coker.
She was a lifetime resident of Tookiedoo, SC a place she dearly loved. A small community made up of farmland, friends, and most importantly, family.
Her work ethic was exemplary. She worked full-time until retiring at the age of 89 from Blue Cross Blue Shield, Columbia, where she was the front desk receptionist for nearly 30 years.
Novice was a charter member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, Elgin and loved teaching the Faith, Hope, and Love Sunday School Class for over three decades.
She was a lady who carried herself with dignity, strength, and southern charm and did so beautifully especially during the past four years while living with dementia.
A funeral service will be held at Powers Funeral Home, Lugoff, on Sunday, March 10, at 3:00 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Hillcrest Baptist Church cemetery, Elgin. The family will receive friends after the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
