Jacksonville, Fla. – Graveside services for Johnnie Joseph Hodge, 81, will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, Columbia. Dunbar Funeral Home, Gervais Street Chapel, is in charge.
Mr. Hodge died Wednesday, July 9, 1997. Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late Roland J. Hodge and Mittie K. Hodge. He had lived in Jacksonville for over 60 years and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and the B. P. O. E. in Savannah. In 1978 he retired as district sales manager after 43 years with Warner-Lambert Co.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Twinning Hauser Hodge of Jacksonville; Daughter, Janice H. Deen of Butler, Pa.; son, John Joseph Hodge of Dallas; sisters, Alberta Permenter of Shreveport, La., Rubye Paulette of Richmond, Va., and Ruth Smith of Greensboro, N. C.; brother, Rommie R. Hodge of Columbia; and grandsons, Thomas Deen, David Deen and Andrew Deen, and Kreg Hodge, Matthew Hodge and Scott Hodge.
