Lauren Dyanne Atkinson and Jacob William Carroll, both of Columbia, were married July 15, 2006, at Blaney Baptist Church. The Rev. Ralph Medlock performed the 4 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the church.

The bride, daughter of Mrs. Deborah Allen Atkinson and Mr. Bernd Atkinson, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Lucie Allen and Mr. Robert Allen. She is employed with Long Term Care.

The groom, son of Mrs. Harriet Hollis Carroll and Mr. Michael Carroll, is the grandson of Elizabeth Hollis and Harry Hollis and Leroy Carroll and Bobbie Sue Carroll. He is pursuing a degree in computer engineering at USC and is employed by Target Distribution Center.

The bride was escorted by her father. Matron of honor was Emily Smith. Bridesmaids were Amanda Davis and Michelle Outlaw. Flower girls were Anna Carroll, daughter of the bride and groom, and Sophie Hollis, cousin of the groom.

Best man was Stuart Johnson. Groomsmen were Joshua Carroll, Richard Potter, and ring bearer, Dylan atkinson, bride’s nephew.

The couple plans a wedding trip to Beaufort, SC.
