Marshall Clinton Jeffers, 79, of 216 Greenfield Road died Tuesday, July 25, 1989.
Born June 14, 1910 in Kershaw County, he was a son of the late William Thomas Jeffers and Mary Elizabeth Goff Jeffers. He was the former owner of Evans Grocery Store and Jeffers Grocery Store of Columbia. He was a former employee of the Sands Co. and a member of Blaney Baptist Church.
Surviving are a brother, Dothan E. Jeffers Sr. of Columbia; and a sister, Mrs. Mamie J. Brown of Elgin.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church of Elgin.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Talbert-Shives Funeral Home.
