Bill Leavitt of Richmond Va., driving the “Quickie Too” Mustang, won the featured Funny Car competition Saturday night at Blaney Drag Strip. Leavitt’s time was 6.75 seconds for the quarter mile with a speed of 212.44 mph.

In Super Stock action, Bubba Martin of Lexington was victorious in his SS-J ’68 Chevy II. Other winners were Dick Dydek of North Charleston in Modified Eliminator, Allen Austin of West Columbia in Sock Eliminator, Robert Currin of West Columbia in E. T. I Class and Robert (Doodle) Pound of Red Bank in E. T. II.

In motorcycle competition, Ed Abston of Columbia won E. T. I and Jack Winn of Chester won E. T. II.
