Miss Edna Carroll has returned to Chester after having spent a few days in the home of J. G. Carroll.

Mrs. E. G. Hollis and daughter, Leona have returned from a visit to Blaney.

J. G. Carroll has returned from Charleston, where he went as delegate to the State Federation of Labor, August 9, 10, 11.

S. C. Still had gone to Newberry to spend the week-end with relatives.

Miss Agnes Emma Watts of Columbia is spending a few days with her grandmother, Mrs. B. D. Hughes.

Ed McEachern of Rion visited his sister-in-law, Mrs. E. W. McEachern last week.

E. L. Allison has gone to Norfolk, Va., with a fishing party for a few days.

Misses Nell McEachern and Emma McEachern have returned from an extended visit to relatives in Wallaceville and Rion.

B. J. Harrison, who has been working at Glenn Springs, is spending the week-end with his family in this place.

Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Brockington and children of Rion are spending the week-end with Mrs. E. W. McEachern. They will leave the early part of the week for a visit to relatives in Union.

Miss Louise Campbell has gone for a visit to friends in Florence and Sumter.

Miss Lavania Neece has returned from a visit to her sister, Mrs. O. E. Hutto, at Pelion.

Charles F. Bultman entertained more than a score of his friends with a watermelon feast Thursday evening at his summer home, “Pine Grove.” Misses Barbara Deck and Lucile Deck of Macon were guest of honor.
