Talley W. Motley Dies At Fairwold
Talley W. Motley, 75, died at 10:20 last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clyde Sessions, Sr., at Fairwold.
He was born in Richland county, the son of the late Jim Motley and Elizabeth MacDonald Motley. He was formerly Magistrate of Pontiac Township and a former county commissioner. He was a retired farmer, also.
Mr. Motley was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist church.
He was twice married, first to the former Minnie Rose of Blaney, who died some years ago, and later to the former Miss Lucy Moore, who survives
He is survived by Mrs. Clyde Session, Sr., Thurmond Motley, Lawrence Motley and Talley H. Motley, all of Blaney, and Delphine Motley, of Columbia, all children by his first wife; W. W. Motley of Charleston, Mrs. Albert H. Roof, Mrs. Vernell Palmer, and Mrs. Paul Byars, all of Columbia, all children by his second marriage; two brothers, Jimmie Motley of Columbia and Wade H. Motley of Columbia; 18 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The body is at the Paschal-Regal Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Talley W. Motley, 75, were to be conducted today, at 5 p.m. at the Union Baptist church near Blaney.
Active pallbearers were to be R. C. Sessions, Jr., Harry Sessions, Dewey Martin, Claude Motley, Lever Motley and Jimmy Motley.
Honorary pallbearers were to be H. D. Roof, G. P. Monroe, Sr., Harry Ross, T. G. Sessions, Furman Jeffers, T. Alex Heise, Jess Ross, I. J. Jacobs, H. T. Lovett, Sr., Talmadge Bowen, Wade H. Cobb, D. T. True, Ware Carnes and Frank Nelson.
Motley Services To Be Held Today
Funeral service for Talley W. Motley, 75, who died Sunday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clyde Sessions, Sr., of Fairwold, will be held this afternoon from the Union Baptist church near Blaney, conducted by the the Rev. A. S. Lockee, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Partridge and Chaplain Elliott. The body is at the Paschal-Regal Funeral home.
Active pallbearers were to be R. C. Sessions, Jr., Harry Sessions, Dewey Martin, Claude Motley, Lever Motley and Jimmy Motley.
