COLUMBIA: Calvin Lynn “Buffalo” Branham, 54, of Columbia, entered into eternal rest July 27, 2007 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be held 2 o’clock, Monday, July 30, 2007 at Shives Funeral Home, Colonial Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Scott officiating. Burial will follow in Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Tripp, Chuck Bouknight, Tim Netecki, Jeff Hammond, John Boozer, Willie Tutherow, Jerry Lynn, and Bruce Chalk. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Gibbons, Billy Carter, Curtis Oliver, and Sully Solomon. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Branham was born October, 27, 1952 in Camden, the son of Polly Johnson Branham and the late Joseph “J. C.” Calvin Branham. He was a graduate of Dentsville High School and Midlands Technical College. Mr. Branham was employed by Republic National Distributing for 13 years.
Surviving are his mother of Columbia; son, Jason Calvin Branham and his mother, Paulette Branham, both of Columbia; sister, Pamela B. Loner of Columbia; nephew, Bryan P Loner; girlfriend, Kelley Goodrich of Columbia; a host of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father; paternal grandparents, William Joseph and Eunice Peake Branham; maternal grandparents, William Wesley and Bessie Dixon Johnson.
