ELGIN – Funeral service for Minnie Bernice Outten, 68, will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home, with burial to follow in Cedars Cemetery.

Miss Outten passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Born in Camden, on June 18, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Mr. Cantey and Pauline Outten Hudson. She was an eternally loving mother and strong woman with a fighting spirit.

Surviving are her children, Cassandra Outten (Benolvi Rivera), Rolanda Outten, James Outten (Kimberly), Jevon Outten (Shakonda), and Charles Gary; grandchildren, Mikayla Cabbagestalk, Dilaylah Rivera, Byreek Brown (Tiffany Galbreath), Lakenny Brown, Daviohn Wright, Toni Harris, Tyjir Outten, James Outten, Jeniya Outten, Shakera Outten, Markiez Bradford, Takiyla Gary; great-grandchildren, King Brown and Karter Bradford; siblings, Betty Corley, Dorothy Outten, Joseph Outten, Jeffrey Hudson, Jerome Hudson, Josephine Simon; the father of her children, James Robinson; and host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Trequan Hickman.
