In Saturday nights action at the Blaney Drag Strip in Elgin, Sam Carroll of Durham, N. C., driving Steve Bagwell’s Plymouth Duster won the featured Pro Stock competition. Carroll clocked a 9.21 seconds E. T. at 148.76 miles-per-hour on the winning run. Second place went to Carlton Phillips of Vienna, Va. in a Camaro.
