John Larry Jeffers was born May 2, 1948 in Elgin, South Carolina, son of David Jeffers and Lillian Alma Moak Jeffers.

Services will be conducted at 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 1967, at Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church of Elgin for Spec. 4 John Larry Jeffers, 19, who was killed in action in Vietnam July 25.

He was born in Balney, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Jeffers (Lillian Alma Moak Jeffers).

Surviving besides his parents are six brothers, Leo Jeffers, Buddy Jeffers, and Tommy Jeffers, all of Blaney, Rondal Jeffers of Camden, and David Jeffers Jr., and Donnie Jeffers, of the home; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Goff of Blaney, Mrs. Jeff Wilson of Eastover, Elaine Jeffers and Debra Jeffers, both of the home.

Burial will be with military honors.

Kornegay Funeral Home is in charge.
