Services for Ernest Marston Hinson Sr., 87, of Columbia will be held at 3 p.m. today at Park Street Baptist Church, with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Carolina Children’s Home. Dunbar Funeral Home, Dutch Fork Chapel, is in charge.

Mr. Hinson died Tuesday, August 27, 1991. Born in Blaney, he was a son of the late G. Ed Hinson and Rhett Ross Hinson. He was retired manager of Maxwell Brothers Furniture Co. and a member of Columbia Civitan Club and Park Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Ernest Hinson Jr. of Simpsonville and Roger Hinson of Columbia; a daughter, Joyce Larimore of Florence; brothers, Mendel Hinson of Charleston, G. E. Hinson of Andrews, Herbert Martin of Topeka Kansas, and David Roberts of Texarkana, Texas; and sisters, Bertha Strickland of Darlington, Lela Mae Ross of Elgin and Edna McQueen of Summerville.
