On January 18, 1952, R. M. Coker was listed as an honorary pallbearer in the obituary of James Henry Livingston.

BLANEY – Funeral Plans are pending for R. M. Coker, 69, who died Monday Night, August 8, 1960 in Camden Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Coker had been in declining health for several years.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lucile Morgan Coker; a daughter, Mrs. Flem Ross Jr., of Blaney; five sons, Ernest Coker of Texas, Lindsay Coker of Arizona, John Coker, Willard Coker and Edward Coker, all of Blaney; a sister, Mrs. Lizzie Jones, Charlotte, North Carolina; 16 grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 5 o’clock in Highway Pentecostal Holiness Church, conducted by the Rev. Dean Clyde, the Rev. Marion Cannon, and the Rev. Furman Harvey. Interment will be in the church yard.

On August 9, 1960, R. M. Coker was listed in the newspaper article “Deaths.”
