Seventy-three Automobiles Enlisted for Trade Invasion – Will Advertise Jubilee.

CAMDEN’S WELCOME

The Chamber of Commerce is in receipt of a letter from the Camden Chamber of Commerce stating the “Columbia boosters” would be met just outside of Camden by a committee and escorted into the town up Broad street to Monument park, where the addresses will be delivered. The women of Camden will welcome “Columbia boosters” to Camden. It is also rumored light refreshments will be served.

Final arrangements were made yesterday afternoon for the “boosters'” trip to Camden, to be made this afternoon. Cars are to be assembled in front of the capitol at 2:30 o’clock so that the start may be made promptly one-half an hour later. A scout car, to be occupied by the harvest jubilee and State fair advertising matter, as well as for other Columbia enterprises, Brief stops are to be made at Jacobs and Blaney, where the usual round of speech making and band playing will be observed. Seventy-three automobiles have been enlisted for the invasion today.
