Building Enlarged by Addition of Six Class Rooms and Laboratory – Andrea in Charge.

Blaney, Sept. 21. – The public school at Blaney began the work of the new year last Monday, though it was open last Thursday, one or two days before required in the classification of the pupils in arrangement of work.
Seventy pupils are enrolled in the high school department and 225 in the grammar department.
The six classrooms, the library and the science laboratory, which have been added to the building in order to care for the increasing number of pupils, will be ready for occupancy in about two weeks.
Leonardo Andrea is principal of the school, the other members of the faculty being as follows:
High School: Miss Eulalie Sheely, Ballentine: Miss Clara Childress, Taylors; Miss Arabel Kennedy, Lugoff.
Grammar school: Miss Maud Derrick, Leesville; Miss Connie Andrea, Taylors; Miss Fay Bridges, Calhoun; Miss Myra Pettigrew, Abbeville; Mrs. Mary Simpson, Blaney; Miss Willie May Andrea, Greer; Miss Pearl Sanders, Pontiac; Miss Roseborough, Lugoff, is in charge of the primary department at Pine Ridge, in the same system as the Blaney school.
