1900 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on June 1, 1900, Abigie S. Morgan (50) owned a home in Richland County, South Carolina, with his wife of twenty years, Katie Morgan (47), and their children; Cora Morgan (19), Lillie Morgan (17), Daisy Morgan (15), Alvin Morgan (12), Bryant Morgan (9), Lucile Morgan (5) and Ansis Morgan (3), and his mother-in-law, Addie McDonald (60). It was reported the family members were all born in South Carolina. Abigie S. Morgan was a farmer and Katie Morgan was a farm laborer.

1910 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on April 15, 1910, Abiggi Margan (53), owned a home in Richland County, South Carolina, with his wife of 30 years, Katie Margan (47), and their children; Bryant Margan (19), Lucile Margan (15), Austis Margan (13). It was reported the family members were all born in South Carolina, except for Abiggi who reported his birth as North Carolina. Abiggi Margan was a farmer on a home farm.

1920 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on January 10, 1920, Barnie Cooper (26) rented a home in Pontiac, Richland County, South Carolina, with his wife, Austis Cooper (22), and their son; Barnie Cooper (1 month). It was reported the family members were all born in South Carolina. Barnie Cooper was a farmer on a general farm.

1930 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on April 9, 1930, Barney B Cooper (36), owned a home in Pontiac, Richland County, South Carolina, with his wife, Anatis Cooper (34), and their son, Barney Cooper Jr. (10), and his mother, Janie Cooper (60). It was reported the family members were all born in South Carolina. Barney B Cooper was a farmer on a general farm.

1940 Census Information:

According to the United States census reported on May 12, 1940, Anstis Morgan Cooper (42), owned a house on Church street with her son, Barney Belton Cooper (20) and her mother-in-law, Janie Watts Cooper (79) It was reported the family members were all born in South Carolina and lived in rural, Richland County on April 1, 1940. Anstis Morgan Cooper kept house, Barney Belton Cooper was employed as a assistant mechanic, and Janie Watts Cooper did not work.

On September 5, 1949, Mrs. Anistis Isham was listed as a living daughter in the obituary of Mrs. Katie Morgan.

On August 29, 1955, Mrs. Anstis Cooper was listed as a living sister in the obituary of Mrs. Lillie Morgan Miles.

1962

On August 18, 1962, Mrs. Antis Cooper was listed as a living sister in the obituary of Alvin L. “Jack” Morgan.

1970

Mrs. Anstis Morgan Cooper, 73, of Elgin, died Tuesday, April 28, 1970 in a Camden hospital.

Funeral Services will be Thursday April 30, 1970 at 3 p.m. in Hillcrest Baptist Church at Elgin, conducted by the Rev. Furman Harvey. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Cooper was born in Richland County, a daughter of the late Nash and Kate Morgan. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, Barnie B. Cooper Jr., of Elgin; a sister, Mrs. Lucille Coker of Elgin and three grandchildren.
