Obituary of Karen Jean Austin

CAMDEN – Karen Jean Austin, 60, passed away Friday, February 21, 2020. Born in Chicago, IL, she was a daughter of Ann Jonushaitis Bode and the late Ewald Jonushaitis. Ms. Austin graduated from Rochester High School and was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed listening to audio books.

Surviving are her daughters, Brittney Bodie (Blaine) of Kodiak, AK, Riley Shelburne (Daniel Gambrell) of Camden; mother, Ann Bode (Ken) of Rochester, IN; and a brother, Martin Austin (Mary) of IL. She was predeceased by a brother, Allen Jonushaitis.

Services will be held at a later date in Indiana. Memorials may be made to Pine Tree Hill Wildlife Care and Exotic Rescue, Camden S.C.
