Blaney – Every year Blaney high school published a monthly school paper, “The Rambler.” The staff chosen for the 1949-’50 is as follows;

Editor, Madge Black; assistant editors; Nancy Strickland and Beatrice Stockman; feature editor, Betty Miles; sports editors, Lillie Bell Dowey and Wayne Brown; illustration editors, Ruth Moak and Margaret Peake; literary editors, Wilma Motley and Shirley Martin; business manager, Edward Coker; assistant business manager, Lemuel Wooten, and faculty advisors, Mrs. Maurice R. Turner and Mrs. Claire B. McGirt.
