Memorials may be made to Sand Hill Heights Baptist Church Building Fund, 2992 Bowen Street, Elgin, SC 29045.
Mrs. Watts, widow of George W. Watts, died Wednesday, September 12, 2001. Born in Blaney, she was a daughter of the late Eddie Hornsby and Janie Cook Hornsby. Mrs. Watts was a member of Sand Hill Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are daughters, Doris Gilmore of Pensacola, Fla., Ann Corbett of Garden City and Lynda Hastings of Orlando, Fla.; sons, Bobby Smith of West Columbia, Willie Smith and Lavon Watts, both of Elgin and Dickie Watts of Lugoff; 31 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Vera Shirley and Mildred Shirley, both of Camden. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Smith.
