BLANEY, S. C., September 6. – Little Kershaw Rose was the charming host at a birthday party given Wednesday afternoon by his mother, Mrs. B. K Rose, at their home in Blaney, S. C. Upon the arrival of the small guest they were presented with yellow and green caps.
After playing numerous games, a contest, pinning the cabbage leaf in the rabbits mouth was enjoyed Little Oliver Miles was the most successful and won the prize. Then the children were dining room which was decorated with yellow and white strips of paper hanging from the chandelier to the table and white periwinkles and goldenrods carrying out the color scheme of white and yellow. The table covered with an exquisite lace cover, had as its centerpiece, the decorated birthday cake with five candles.
Refreshments were served and the small guest received as favors little yellow baskets filled with white mints.
The little guest present were: Joyce Rose, Margaret Sandin, Sarah Bowen, Katherine Rentz, Mable Singley, Martha Rose, Wade Evans, Randolph Ward, Oliver Miles, George Sandlin, Donald Watson, Jr., and James Cupstid.
Assisting the small host’s mother were: Misses Evelyn McNeil, Louise Rose and Allie Rose.
