Hold-up men seem to getting more “nervy” in Columbia. The latest report is that a man was held up Saturday night, not at the point of a gun, but at the point of a razor.
W. B. Lynn of Blaney told police Sunday that he was held up the night before at Pulaski street and Railroad alley, by a men who threatened him with a razor. Eight dollars in paper money and some change was stolen, he said.
Although the highwayman escaped unscatched and left no traces of his whereabouts officers are under the impression that a negro did the job.
Policemen Spires and Norton investigated the hold-up.
