Kershaw county school board members last week approved a design for the new Jackson Elementary School.
What’s next?
Administrators and architects will now develop a site package for the school to determine where the building will sit, where to place power and sewer lines and other details.
What design did the board choose?
Members chose a design similar to Blaney Elementary, said district spokeswoman Mary Anne Byrd. The design, architects said, will be cost-efficient, have the desired curb appeal and lend itself to possible expansion.
When will construction begin?
Administrators said they hope to have the bid for site preparation out for the East Camden school in early 2009.
