ELGIN – Services for Laura Mae Baker Brittain, 73, will be held at 2 p.m. today, at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge. Memorials may be made to the church building fund.

Mrs. Brittain died Thursday, November 26, 1992. Born in Lee County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Baker and Mattie Baker. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and the senior ladies Sunday school class.

Surviving are daughters, Harriet Bradham of Lexington, Mattie Brazell of Lugoff and Ovie Nelson of Camden; sons, John Brittain of Elgin, Marvin Brittain of Gilbert and Luther Brittain of Lugoff; a brother, Johnny Baker of Lugoff; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
